The leadership of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference is looking at ways in which to expand its outreach to the growing Hispanic community in Illinois and multiply those efforts through a $50,000 matching grant from the denomination's National Hispanic Plan.
One of the priorities is to increase social justice through the establishment of a Justice for Our Neighbors site within the Illinois Great Rivers Conference to assist in immigration matters.
Another priority is to enhance the structure by getting the right leaders in the right places. This would include development of District Hispanic Ministry Teams.
